A magical place to stop and savour the delights of this marvellous small port with its world re-known old harbour. The heart of the city is made up of cobbled streets surrounding the wooden church of Sainte Catherine and its independent bell tower. At day break the sun illuminates the facades of the tall houses of Quai Ste Catherine making it a dreamy place to breakfast or take morning coffee.
Beyond the town is a verdant countryside populated with cattle sheep and horses peacefully grazing in the valleys famous for apple trees - and of course cider and calvados.
No trains come to this unforgettable town but just 15 delightful kilometres separate the town from the seaside resorts of Deauville and Trouville where trains terminate - Paris is only 2 hours away.
